Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?
Water. My first choice is water kept in earthernware pot (paanai thanni), drunk from a copper or silver tumbler.
Second choice: Water with ice, drunk from a glass.
The latter does not quench thirst like the former.
If I must have some sort of flavouring, I’d go for cold panagam (water sweetened with jaggery and spiced with cardamom and dry ginger) or sweetened lemon juice. Both are refreshing, but loaded with calories.

Lots more….not sure if I would do any of these in future either….
If you could be given any gift what would it be?
I don’t like the idea of gifts. Makes me feel obligated. My friends and family are usually exasperated about what to gift me. But if I must accept a gift, I’d like it to be an expensive perfume – Chanel types.
What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep, toss and turn, or get up and try to do something productive?
That has rarely happened. I can dose off anytime anyplace. Now, whether that sleep is healthy or addled with crazy dreams is a different matter altogether. On the rare occasion that I can’t sleep, I count breath. I am usually out by the time I have counted 15 outbreaths.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Grateful that pms is over. Looking forward to 15 days of relative mental quiet.
